A FORMER caretaker on the Guinness Trust estate in Northwood has been jailed for 19 months after admitting a sexual assault on a child six years ago.

Peter Cater, 57, of Iveagh Close, Northwood, also admitted inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and possessing extreme pornographic material.

Three-year-old Toby was shot from above as he strolled in gardens near his home in Hilliard Road, Northwood.

The lead pellet became lodged behind his knee cap and the moggy had to have an operation to remove it. Owner Justin Darbon said it was lucky Toby was not killed.

A MAN accused of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl is to face trial at crown court.

Peter Thomas Cater, 56, of Iveagh Close, Northwood, is charged with intentionally touching a girl on January 1, 2005.

A MAN who stole a laptop case containing books and dice is due to be sentenced.

Balraj Singh Verdi, 28, admitted taking the case in Potter Street, Northwood Hills, on June 6 this year.

A MAN has been cleared of holding his ex-girlfriend against her will and assaulting her in Northwood.

Paul David Heward, 46, denied falsely imprisoning and causing actual bodily harm to Kimberley Jayne Richardson at her home in Grangedale Road on January 10 this year.

A jury at Harrow Crown Court decided he was not guilty of the offences on Wednesday (29).

However Heward, of Lundin Walk, Watford, was jailed for 18 weeks after admitting to breaching a restraining order which prevented him from contacting Ms Richardson, 45, from October last year until October 2012.

A MAN from Northwood has been fined £400 for kerb-crawling.

THREE men from Hillingdon involved in an industrial-scale pirate DVD venture, believed to be the largest one ever discovered in the UK, have been jailed.

Rahul Divan, of Barnhill Road, Hayes, Ajay Singh Ahluwalia, of Grosvenor Road, Northwood, and Prikshat Sharma, of Laurel Lane, West Drayton, worked at the factory in a warehouse in Tatchbrook Road, Southall.

It was set up by Mirza Baig, who was identified as the ringleader of the illegal operation during the trial.

CHARGES have been dropped against a man accused of allowing his dog to become dangerously out of control and cause injury.
