Junior school pupils at Northwood College, in Maxwell Road, created artwork based on a garden theme.

Developer Excelsior Properties Ltd says it is holding the consultation to give residents an opportunity to 'provide views or suggestions as to the appropriate redevelopment of the site'.

The comic opera, based on the legend invented by the English to promote pottery sales, tells a tale of forbidden love, performed by year seven to nine students at the school, in Maxwell Road, Northwood.

The show sees Knoon-She, the daughter of a wealthy mandarin, fall in love with a humble clerk, Chang, much to the dislike of her father, who would prefer her to marry a warrior.

UX040610smmreinD14459-3.jpgRESIDENTS are celebrating after plans to build a block of 12 flats on the former site of The Reindeer pub in Northwood were unanimously rejected.

Proposals to construct a one-bedroom flat, four two-bedroom flats and seven three-bedroom flats on the site - part of Green Lane Conservation Area in Maxwell Road - together with 13 parking spaces, were recommended for approval.

Hillingdon Council planning officers stated the development met planning guidelines, was compatible with the surroundings and would respect the established character of the area.
