BUDDING artists at a Northwood school hosted a special exhibition to raise more than £1,000 for Children in Need.

RESIDENTS are celebrating after plans to build a block of 12 flats on the former site of The Reindeer pub in Northwood were unanimously rejected.

Proposals to construct a one-bedroom flat, four two-bedroom flats and seven three-bedroom flats on the site - part of Green Lane Conservation Area in Maxwell Road - together with 13 parking spaces, were recommended for approval.

Hillingdon Council planning officers stated the development met planning guidelines, was compatible with the surroundings and would respect the established character of the area.
