jco_nlr_katenash_2.jpgPATIENTS and staff at Michael Sobell House enjoyed an unexpected visit from singer Kate Nash.

The 24-year-old musician, whose mum Marie is a nurse at the hospice in Rickmansworth Road, decided to pop in and bring some Christmas cheer on Wednesday.

Mrs Nash said: "When Kate was just starting out at the Brit [performing arts] school she came and sang at St Lukes where I was working at the time, so when she came home this time she asked if she could do the same for Michael Sobell - something low key, just for the patients."

Kate, who grew up in North West London and went to school in Pinner and Rickmansworth, was accompanied by her guitarist and drummer and sang her popular hit Foundations as well as a cover of Wham's "Last Christmas".
