Mayor1web.jpgA SCHOOL in Northwood is celebrating after its main kindergarten building was given a makeover.

St Martin's School, in Moor Park Road, welcomed the Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Mary O'Connor MBE, for the official re-opening of the building, on Friday (1).

The building was named in honour of former school chairman of governors, John Stanley, who unveiled a special plaque at the event.

Kindergarten and pre-prep pupils then performed two songs before taking parents on a tour of classrooms for a show and tell session.

The newly refurbished Stanley Building boasts a PC bench with age appropriate keyboards, a low level kitchen, art area, reading and role play section and library.

Outside, boys can enjoy a brightly coloured soft surface playground and play equipment including a sandpit, insect observation area and toadstool reading section.
