Popular annual Croxley Green Revels Festival set to attract 10,000 people
TEN thousand people are set to descend on Croxley Green for the annual Revels on the Green Festival this Saturday (18).
The hotly-anticipated mid-summer celebration will begin with a procession in front of Croxley House, on The Green, at 1.30pm, before South West Hertfordshire MP, David Gauke, will officially declare the event open.
Attractions include a falconry display, maypole dancing, the annual schools pushball tournament, football, mini rugby and tae kwon do demonstrations.
There will also be a children's petting zoo, clowns, Punch and Judy shows, and a whole host of stalls and side shows.
The event will also feature a music stage with five acts, headlined by 11th Hour, a classic rock covers band.
The Princess of the festival, Chloe Williams of Harvey Road School, will be crowned at 2.30pm.
The festival, which is organised by the Croxley Green Society (CGS), ends at about 5pm.
