Man using air gun to kill rats sparks armed police alert in Rickmansworth

A MAN using an air gun to kill rats sparked an armed police alert in Rickmansworth.

Police were called at about 2.55pm yesterday (25) after reports of a man acting suspiciously in Tudor Way.

A Hertfordshire Police spokesperson said: "It is believed there was a man with an air weapon, used for vermin eradication.

"There was no danger to the public, so the search was concluded, and no arrests were made."
