UX190411amwind02WEB.jpgCHILDREN embarked on a magical journey down the river as part of a Wind in the Willows-style drama workshop in Northwood.

A group of youngsters aged four to eight joined Toad, Mole, Ratty and Badger on an adventure inspired by author Kenneth Grahame's book.

Led by a team of experienced stage professionals, the children combined live music, spirited dancing and quick-witted improvisation to produce a colourful performance.

The workshop, which took place at Northwood Methodist Church Hall in Oaklands Gate yesterday (19), was organised by drama group, Perform.

A group spokesperson said: "Not only did the children discover the magic of Kenneth Grahame's beautiful book, but they also made new friends, stretched their imaginations and had plenty of fun and laughter along the way.

"The workshops are specifically designed to stimulate creativity, confidence and communication skills, as well as being a kaleidoscope of fun."
