Slide1.JPGAN ELDERLY man suffered injuries to his face and forearms after being attacked and burgled at his Northwood home.

The 70-year-old victim, who lives in Ducks Hill Road, answered the door to two men who forced their way in and assaulted him.

A silver and gold Rolex 'Oyster' men's watch and a distinctive gold men's ring, with a one carat diamond set into it and two half carat diamonds set either side, were stolen from the property.

Police were called to the address at about 10.10pm on Wednesday, October 20.

The two suspects are both white. One of them was wearing a yellow high visibility jacket and builder-style hard hat, while the other was wearing dark clothing.

Police are appealing to the public for information about the incident.

Investigating officer, PC Mark Lavelle, said: "We are keen to find these men who have committed this awful crime against an innocent man.

"We need your help. Please contact us if you were driving in Ducks Hill Road at that time and saw the two males matching these descriptions or if you saw any cars acting suspiciously in the area."

Anyone with information should call Uxbridge police station on 020 8246 1568 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
