Residents challenged to trek through Iceland and raise money for air ambulance service

HERTS Air Ambulance is challenging residents to embark on a trek through Iceland to help raise money for the life-saving service.

The journey, which takes place from July 15-20, 2010, offers volunteers the chance to walk through breath-taking scenery and experience water crossings and geothermal swimming, before camping in the remote wilderness.

Participants are required to pay a £225 registration fee and have a minimum fundraising target of £2,000.

More than £70,000 was raised at a similar event last October, when 27 volunteers travelled to Peru to walk in the footsteps of the Inca civilisation and visit Machu Picchu.

To get involved, call Nezda Leigh on 0845 2417 690, email Nezda@EHAAT.uk.com or visit HertsAirAmbulance.uk.com.

We'd like to hear from you.
