Flip your way to the finish in 10th Rickmansworth Pancake Race for charity

EGGS and spoons will be swapped with batter and frying pans for the 10th annual Rickmansworth Pancake Race.

The competition, which takes place on Shrove Tuesday (February 16), will see the High Street closed to traffic as hundreds of participants flip their way to the finish line.

All proceeds will go towards Watford Mencap, which is based in Rickmansworth and supports 500 adults and children with learning disabilities and their carers in South West Hertfordshire.

Last year, a record number of teams took part to raise more than £2,000 for the charity.

The winning team will receive a case of champagne, while refreshments for participants and supporters will be provided at the Coach and Horses pub, which is sponsoring the race.

The cost to enter for a team of four is £50 - call Lesley Blee on 01923 713622 or email lblee@watfordmencap.org.uk by Tuesday, February 9.

We'd like to hear from you.
