Bin lorries fitted with snow chains to cope with severe weather

RUBBISH lorries in Northwood and Rickmansworth were fitted with snow chains to help cope with severe weather conditions.

Refuse, recycling and compostable waste will be collected on the usual days this week, according to Three Rivers District Council.

Any refuse which was not picked up last week will also be cleared, and should be left next to bins on the scheduled collection day.

Missed recycling or compostable waste collections from last week will be delayed until next week.

Extra recycling can be placed in carrier bags (not black sacks) next to recycling boxes. Flattened cardboard next to brown bins will also be collected.
