LAST Sunday (29) marked the 10th anniversary of Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue's thrice-yearly Blood Donation Day.
The event, a collaboration between the synagogue, in Oaklands Gate, Northwood, and Northwood United Synagogue, in Murray Road, attracted more than 125 people, with 110 donations taken.
It is estimated that 2,500 people have given blood to the project since it started.
Monthly beat surgeries will take place for residents of Moor Park and Eastbury to raise concerns about policing priorities in the area.
The first sessions, lasting 45 minutes, will take place on Friday, December 18, at Westbury Road (mobile police station) from 11am; Peerglow Industrial Estate Cafe from 12noon; Moor Park Golf Club (mobile) from 1pm; Eastbury Avenue (mobile) from 2pm and North Approach (mobile) from 3pm.

A competition to reveal the hidden talent of staff, volunteers and supporters of Michael Sobell House will take place on Sunday (6).
MSH's Got Talent will feature singing, belly dancing and poetry. A panel of judges will choose the winner.
The event takes place at 6.30pm at Olwen Bettesworth Hall, Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, HA6 2RN. Tickets cost £5 with all proceeds going to Michael Sobell House.

A PENSIONER is celebrating the festive season by decorating his house with 15,000 Christmas lights for charity.

Police are hunting two men in connection who stole a solar panel from Rickmansworth Aquadrome, in Frogmoor Lane.
The theft happened on Monday (23) at 4pm and the men drove off in an unknown direction.
One is described as of large build and in his 20s. The second, also in his 20s, is of stocky build and was wearing a light coloured top and hooded jacket.

A large mechanical digger was stolen from under the noses of construction workers on the M25 last week.
The bright yellow JCB, which was secured but unattended, was taken from a site at junction 17 on the busy motorway between 6pm on Tuesday, November 17 and 5pm on Thursday, November 19.
It is unclear how the thieves got away with the vehicle. Police are investigating the incident.
YOUNG people in Northwood and Rickmansworth will have the chance to learn, perform and run their own talent showcases with leading hip hop experts.
A series of workshops will begin across Hertfordshire in January, thanks to a £30,000 grant to the county council from Arts Council England.
They will be hosted by some of the UK's top professional hip hop artists and will offer budding Eminems aged 13-19 the chance to learn skills including dance, beat boxing, song writing and MC-ing.
