They have achieved this through a set of criteria, which included attracting new members, total amount of dives done, skill development courses attended by members of the branch and attaining their next grade or members attaining Instructor status.
The winners were a branch at Dublin University, so I guess that makes us the top branch in the UK said Chairman and Membership Secretary, Mel Armitage.
Andy Shears of Scuba pro, the sponsors of the prize, presented the award at the annual Diving Officers Conference held at the Russell Hotel in London. In addition the branch received five Aladdin Prime dive computers that they hope to use for training.

They are also working towards Club Mark which is a national standard promoted by Sport England.
If you are interested in participating in a try dive or would like to join a sub aqua diving club, then have a look at www.rnbsac.co.uk for further information about the branch or www.bsac.com for a local branch near to you.
